{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"Product","name":"Sealskinz Windproof Cold Weather Convertible Mittens","description":"Warm hands. Fingers free when you need them. Cold hands can turn a good day on the hill into a slog. Sealskinz Windproof Cold Weather Convertible Mittens combine insulated coverage with quick finger access, so you can stop to check a map, open a snack or adjust a zip without taking the whole mitten off. Keep the mitt cover over your fingers on exposed paths, then fold it back and secure it with the magnetic fastening when you need more dexterity. Less faff. More time moving. What makes the difference? Windproof protection: helps shield hands from cold winds on open trails. PrimaLoft Gold insulation: adds warmth for cold-weather outings. Convertible mitten design: switches between covered fingers and fingerless access, with a magnetic fastening to hold the cover back. COOLMAX lining: wicks moisture away to help manage clammy hands. Water-repellent outer: helps shed light moisture. Water repellency is not the same as waterproof protection. Run, hike, climb: choose the right use Hiking: a practical option for chilly walks and exposed hill paths, particularly when you need to alternate between warmth and hands-on tasks. Running: consider insulated convertible mittens for colder, lower-intensity outings when warmth matters more than minimal coverage. Adjust coverage as you warm up. Climbing: think approach walks and time between climbs, rather than a substitute for purpose-built climbing or rope-handling gloves. Mountaineering: match your handwear to the forecast and route. Do not rely on these water-repellent mittens alone for sustained wet weather or severe mountain conditions. AEC field advice Cover your fingers before they get cold, fold the mitt back briefly for fiddly jobs, then cover up again when you stop or the wind picks up. For longer hill days, carry spare handwear suited to the conditions. AEC. Set Yourself Free.","descriptionSections":[{"heading":"Warm hands.
